Afton Alps, Buck Hill, and Welch Village are just three of many local hills to enjoy.

Afton Alps

Afton Alps has so many runs, you'll never get bored. Great skiing for the whole family, mainly easy runs but there are a few hard ones too. This ski hill has 41 slopes that you could ski on also there's a splendid variety to gratify everyone. Afton Alps is a fuller-scale than average ski hill having a medium vertical drop if compared to other mid west ski areas.

Buck Hill

A 309 foot vertical drop is of course not that much, but Buck Hill has so many other glorious attributes. There are 11 lifts here, and they are exciting to hitch a ride with. Having a skiable land of 45 acres, it makes for a peaceful skiing experience. All the 13 trails here are exciting to ski on. This ski hill has an average proportion of challenging ski trails and an average share of intermediate or beginner ski runs.

Welch Village

Welch Village has a decent collection of runs and enough great ski lifts to serve them all. There are 10 different ski lifts here, and they are in great shape. Welch Village has nine chairlifts also four quad lifts, four double chairs, and one triple chair. The majority of the area is lit for night skiing with the exception of the terrain served by the triple chair and the new "Back Bowl" expert terrain.
